
Dr / Omar Shahin,
Founding Member • Faith-Based Consultant.
Dr. Omar Shahin is one of the founding members of the Islamic Tribunal and has dedicated many years to Islamic education, community service, and humanitarian relief. He holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Law, three Master's degrees (including from Al-Azhar and the Arab Open University), and a Bachelor's in Islamic Studies. He is also a licensed Islamic attorney from Jordan and has practiced law in the Jurisprudence Courts of Amman.
He has served as Imam and Director of Islamic Centers in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, and as Dean of Islamic Studies at the Graduate Theological Foundation. He has taught at Arizona State University and other academic institutions. Dr. Shahin is Co-Founder and Secretary General of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF) and has represented the Muslim community in interfaith dialogues and international conferences.
Within the Islamic Tribunal, Dr. Shahin's role is entirely pastoral and advisory, offering non-binding religious insights while respecting all state and federal laws. He does not provide legal services or issue legal rulings.
